Mister Park

Cawley & Crawley Down based new wave / punk rock / ska band, here to really get the party started!

Mister Park were formed in 2013 as a 'Birthday Dream'. Four strangers met, became friends and practised hard. They played their first ever gig at The Copthorne Village Hall in January 2014 in front of an enthusiastic crowd of family and friends. The day after that gig, when the guitars, drums and microphones were supposed to be packed away forever they collectively decided to carry on to 'see how things work out'. They continued to meet, practise and add songs to their growing repertoire and this resulted in more 'one off' local gigs. Keyboards were added and rehearsals intensified. Word about Mister Park began to spread around West Sussex and Surrey and regular gigs came in. The people of Copthorne, East Grinstead, Horley, Crawley and Horsham were seeing and hearing the lads most weekends. The band were now getting recognition and gigging regularly. In 2019, in order to boost their sound, they added Saxophones to the mix, enhancing their set further. Gigs are now a weekly thing and crowds at venues growing. The band are taking off and reaching for the stars.

The boys in the band are local and come from Crawley Down and Crawley. Their repertoire is heavily influenced by 70's New Wave and Punk giants like Paul Weller, Joe Strummer, Hugh Cornwell and Elvis Costello and their love of Ska and 60's Soul can be heard throughout their enthusiastic set.

So if you love the sound of The Jam, The Clash, The Specials, Madness, Dexys Midnight Runners, Blur, Otis Redding, Eddie Floyd, The Temptations, Sam and Dave and Wilson Pickett then you WILL love the sound of MiSTER PARK.
